A Brand New World

Apologies once again for the inconsistency in the frequency of updates - things have been more hectic than anticipated lately and we anticipated a lot. The greatest leap forward is the completion of the demo and accompanying trailer which you can now download directly from the site so don't hesitate to finally get your hands on the results of our efforts over these months. The demo contains one playable bird in its own unique setting and features day/night lighting and a wide range of customisable graphical features to suit everyone! We have sent our demo out to multiple high-traffic sites for maximum exposure, including Steam, Direct2Drive and GamersGate with many more to come yet. We've also been sending physical copies of the demo out to publications such as Edge and PC Zone, PC Gamer and even some high street newspapers such as the Telegraph so hopefully the Flight experience is being open to as many people as possible. With this behind us its full steam ahead working on the final game the content of which is completely finished but needs to be compiled together ready for distribution and release into the big wide world. Jules has been busy establishing our bases for world domination on FaceBook and MySpace where we have our own company pages you can check out, as well as the obligatory YouTube trailer and also a Flickr feed section on the site. We hope all this keeps it simple for people to keep track of us and also keep in touch!

As you can see on these very pages, the website has undergone a total revamp with a new look, logo and layout. You can access all the aforementioned site links from here and view our Flickr feed as well as check out all our current and upcoming games in their own separate sections with conceptual sketches and designs to come. In our 'blogs' section you can follow our individual progress here at FPS and keep track of anything else we've been up to - expect some 'interesting' topics to surface here from time to time.

I'm currently working away on the trailer music for the full game trailer which will be considerably longer than the demo trailer and should be with you all in the next two to three weeks. I am also faced with the task of reviewing the tracks for each level, some of which were produced a few months back, and making some minor adjustments and alterations to incorporate any mixing and editing skills that I've picked up since then. Jules and Rich have been working away at an external advertising commission for an animated advert to keep their skills sharp and it's looking quite good  - it's a serious effort fitting it all in but they are managing thanks in no small part to our increasingly regular coffee breaks now powered by the wonder of filter coffee! Jules has also been imparting his hard earned business expertise at our Swansea Metropolitan University, and spreading the wonderful word of the company of course.

We hope you enjoy the demo as much as we did making it and we hope you are looking forward to the final game as much as we are.
